What we solve ·How do I fix the way we decide?

What has moved in your sector since the last time you looked?

Last year's session was useful, but it was a snapshot and the map has already changed.

The frontier map of your business kept current, with what changed, what died and what now forces a decision.

Frontier radarSend this page to whoever decides

This sounds like you if

  • Your planning turned quarterly and your information is still annual.
  • There was a move in the sector that your current monitoring did not anticipate.
  • Environment monitoring gets done with annual snapshots and the sector moves by the quarter.

Use this today, without hiring anyone

How to build your own radar without hiring anyone. It is work, but it is doable, and whoever tries it finds out on their own where the limit is.

  1. Write your perimeter on one page. Named competitors, geographies, regulatory framework and the three technologies that touch your value chain. Without a written perimeter, monitoring becomes reading the news.
  2. Name every move by its mechanism and its window, not by its novelty. What it forces you to do, by when and what happens if you do not. Whatever cannot be stated that way is not frontier, it is news.
  3. Keep the list of what died. It is the one that saves money and the one nobody writes, because it makes no headlines.
  4. Write three dated predictions and grade them. It is uncomfortable and it is the only thing that later tells you whether your judgment works.

And in the meantime, the quarterly briefing is sent at no cost: it is the sector version of this, written once for everyone who wants to read it.

How we solve it

The method, not the promise.

  1. The perimeter gets defined and written with your leadership and reviewed once a year, not every quarter.
  2. Collection gets automated over that perimeter, which is what makes the monitoring sustainable.
  3. Every move gets named by its mechanism and its window, and whatever does not pass that filter does not enter the report.
  4. The previous quarter's predictions get graded against what happened, in the same document and without correcting them.
  5. The quarterly session is for deciding, not for presenting: it ends with what gets done and what gets stopped.

What you receive

  • The quarterly report with every move named by mechanism and window.
  • The list of what died in the quarter for your sector.
  • Dated predictions and the grading of the previous ones against what occurred.
  • A two page decision note per quarter, ready to take to the board.

The proof that applies here

  • The Neural Brink Report: frontier judgment published with dated predictions and explicit calibration of the previous edition's errors.
  • 19 years deciding on technology inside critical operations.
  • Two corporate products taken to the Gartner Magic Quadrant, assessed by an independent analyst.

Before you hire

This is environment monitoring for deciding, not day to day competitive intelligence: it does not cover your competitors' prices, campaigns or commercial moves.

The credential of a radar is whether its earlier predictions can be verified. This firm's are published with a date and graded against what actually happened, errors included. You can read the previous ones before subscribing.

What was the last move in your sector that took you by surprise, and how much earlier could it have been seen?
